Snow Patrol interviews with Seattle Gay News

Grammy-nominated rock band Snow Patrol is headed to Seattle, and they're talking to Seattle Gay News before hitting the stage.

The successful UK quintet, who has toured with Coldplay and U2 in the past year, is set to perform October 14 at the Paramount Theatre (www.stgpresents.org), the group's first appearance in the Emerald City since the release of their 2008 album, A Hundred Million Suns.

Gary Lightbody, lead singer and absolute hottie, was kind enough to speak with Seattle Gay News en route to the Northwest, where Snow Patrol will also appear at Portland's Schnizter Hall on October 13 and Boise's Knitting Factory on October 11. Lightbody discusses the band's future, the gay scene in his home of Belfast, the latest books he's read (he's an avid reader), and his comfort level at being a sex symbol for both gals and gents.

Grab a copy of Seattle Gay News on Friday, October 9 and wrap your eyes around the tall, cool, and handsome, not to mention unbelievably friendly, Gary Lightbody of Snow Patrol. Remember, they're here on October 14!
