Seattle Gay News remembers Selena on the fifteenth anniversary of her death

It was fifteen years ago on this day that Selena, an established artist in the Latin music world and international shooting star, was murdered in her home state of Texas.

The singer, who inspired the film starring Jennifer Lopez, recorded many hits during her short career, including "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom", "Amor Prohibido", and "Dreaming of You". She earned a Grammy Award in 1994 for her Live album.
